【 摘 要 】

In the article the provisions of land protection are considered within the principles of the land legislation. On the basis of the analysis of norms, the author defines the principle of land protection, and considers its realization in standards of the land legislation of the CIS countries. For an improvement of the preservation of land as a natural object and a natural resource, the author suggests to make in the preamble of the Land Code of the Russian Federation its special status as a national heritage.
