【 摘 要 】

Beekeeping, Income Diversification Source for Small Farmers: Case of the Cotton Basin in Central African Republic. Face to the restructuration in the cotton chain, farms in Central African Republic are diversifying their activities. Traditionally secondary activities like beekeeping become an important source of income to small farmers. Honey production comes up as an alternative to cotton and provides best opportunities for income improvement to some farmers, even few. The development and sustainability of this activity in the cotton basin of the Central African Republic should rely on a relevant institutional support system and a structuration of beekeepers' organisations in order to enhance markets operation.
