The paper aims to describe the history of the British joint-stock company Bohemian Breweries limited, which owned three breweries in prague in the turbulent period of the late 19th century. The first part of the three-part paper explains why British investors focused on the Bohemian brewing industry and describes the history and the development of the three plants.(In Czech, English summary only)
