【 摘 要 】

This paper presents six accounts written in the late 18th century by governors of the missions of Mojos and Chiquitos, located in today Eastern Bolivia. It contextualizes the situation of these missions in the framework of administrative reforms after the expulsion of the Jesuits, and provides indications to understanding how the Mission Indians were represented by late colonial administrative discourses.
