【 摘 要 】
For the past several years, the issue of networks has initiated a multitude of discussions and applications within several sectors of society, including health. In this article, our objective is to demonstrate that this “acting together” made necessary by the job’s networking framework is based on a multiple coordination mechanisms in the institutions which are located in the circulation and the mobilization on information; and especially within the communication processes such as: negotiating the meaning of the act of “caring” itself. First, we have placed the networking system of care in its socio-historical context before discussing Quebec’s particular case. Second, we will build on previous research (completed in 2006-2007) during which we have conducted a series of interviews (n= 12) with health professionals that are equipped with a laptop within a network of ambulatory care (in patients' homes). Finally, we will present evidence highlighting a number of limitations that represent the starting point for a critique not of the networking system within health institutions, but rather the meaning (or orientation) they have given it.
