【 摘 要 】

Objective. To identify how children in a rural context, after the implementation of the strategy, build their multiplicative thinking skill. Method. Qualitative research in which a questionnaire was applied to 4th grade students in a primary school of a post-primary institution of the rural sector. Conclusions. The qualitative analysis carried out on the information obtained allowed concluding that raising and solving contextualized and close to the knowledge of children problem situations enhances the level of understanding about the different meanings that arithmetic multiplication has. Likewise, that the formulation of realistic problem situations is enriched by the use of interconnected concepts, representations and procedures each other, while facilitating students the gradual transition from the concrete to the graphic and then to the symbolic.
