【 摘 要 】

Abstract This resource is an online faculty development module designed to help instructors more effectively deliver their message to their students by adding impact and interest to their presentations and lecture content through the use of visual aids. This module should help instructors to distinguish among the various ways that students receive and process information, as well as to understand how the use of visual aids can impact a learner's information retention and strengthen the presentation. This resource covers the common types of visual aids and describe ways to effectively use each type, as well as to know what factors to consider when selecting visual aids. It also reviews the characteristics of effective visual aids as well as some disadvantages to using them. Several questions are interspersed throughout the material so that users can check their understanding of the information presented.
