【 摘 要 】

The article presents and analyzes various types of bibliographic sources on the ethnography of the nations of the Russian Empire, which are stored in the funds of the National Library of Ukraine named after V. Vernadsky, for the availability of literature on Ukrainian ethnography. The authors and topics of Ukrainian researches, regions and administrative-territorial units, where they wereheld, as well as social groups, which were the main objects of study, were found out. A brief selective analysis of some works and views of researchers toward by Ukrainians, as a separate ethnos, was conducted.
