【 摘 要 】

As a classic antiepileptic drug (AED), phenobarbital has been used in clinicfor more than 100 years and is available in the majority of countries in theworld. Accepted as the drug of choice for controlling seizures in developingcountries by World Health Organization (WHO), phenobarbital can effectivelylessen the treatment gap. In this paper, the utilization of phenobarbital aroundthe world, and its curative effect and adverse drug reaction were reviewed.
