THE UN DECLARATION ON THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES TO SELF-DETERMINATION

【 摘 要 】

It is shown that the Declaration of the UN supported a broad approach to the problem of self-determination of indigenous peoples. In particular, it is argued that the adoption of this Declaration involves the implementation into national law of rules that make it possible to provide greater support for the rights of the population of States and political pluralism and representative government-the right of minorities within the state, as well as the realization of the right of the population as a whole, the rights of the population non-self-governing territories, in particular, the integration of non-discrimination and free determination of their political status, economic, social and cultural development, religious, linguistic and educational rights of indigenous peoples.
