【 摘 要 】

Para determinar el nivel de la morbilidad laboral con incapacidad temporal según departamentos o lugares de trabajo utilizamos información de los expedientes laborales y los certificados médicos de 1 322 trabajadores permanentes de una empresa refinadora de petróleo, con 8 o más años de trabajo en la misma ocupación, y en el mismo departamento o lugar de trabajo de la empresa. El sexo influyó en la morbilidad que estudiamos, y de igual forma fueron estadísticamente significativas las diferencias para el grupo de los trabajadores con enfermedades frecuentes al aplicar pruebas de diferencia entre proporciones. Se identificaron los departamentos de la empresa que más aportaron a la morbilidad y las causas más frecuentes de la incapacidad. Este tipo de estudio brinda información útil al Médico de Familia que atiende una población laboral.
To determine the level of work morbidity with temporary disability by departments or workplaces, we use information from work records and medical certificates of 1322 permanent workers of an oil refinery, who have been working in the same occupation and department or workplace for 8 years or more. Sex had an influence on the studied morbidity, and similarly, the differences were statistically significant in the group of workers with frequent diseases when we applied ratio difference tests. Those departments that contributed the most to morbidity and the most frequent causes of disability were identified. This type of study provides the family physician who takes care of a working population with useful information.
