【 摘 要 】

This paper aims to identify the participation of women in positions of power in terms of equality, proportionality and gender equality within the structures of the government and the National Assembly of Nicaragua, covering the period 2012 - 2016. This research is descriptive, documentary, qualitative and quantitative; in addition, to strengthen the critical analysis of virtual academic discussion, forums were used. It also provides reasonable data demonstrating the incorporation of women in the structures of political and governmental power, the recognition of their rights, and their political and professional capability
