【 摘 要 】

Play is an important tool for supporting children's motor, language, cognitive and social-emotional development as well as for acquiring necessary skills. For this reason, children need an environment which offers different game alternatives to them. Nowadays, with the effects of urbanization and business life, families have begun to take their children to the playgrounds in the shopping centers. In this study, it was examined that whether the playgrounds in the shopping centers have necessary tools to meet children’s developmental needs and also investigated  the characteristics of the playgrounds.
