【 摘 要 】
The discovery of cheaper methods of making colour prints were one of the most important developments in nineteenth-century printing. That caused the wide use of coloured publications, such as: books for children, Sunday school texts, technical books, maps, posters, postcards, theatre bills, etc. For ordinary people and children became possible to see and read printed publication in colour. The most important developments in technical progress in nineteenth-century colour printing were the discovery of chromolithography and improvement of wood engraving. The discovery of cylinder machines and lithographic machines, and improvements in prinitng ink and paper were indirectly important for quality of printing techniques.
