【 摘 要 】

The paper discusses the concept of anthroponymic identity. The study of the problem demonstrates that anthroponymic identity should be considered as a dynamic category. When a baby is given a name, its parents impose a certain identity upon it, which evolves as it becomes enriched with a new content, new forms, images and associations in the process of the person’s socialization. The formation of an anthroponymic identity is a result of the person’s identification with an ethnic culture, a linguistic worldview, a national character, etc.
