I need help to prevent my child of becoming obese

【 摘 要 】

Child obesity has become an international public health issue. It is associated to a higher prevalence of chronic diseases, thus its high impact on health services expenses. Because obesity is a multifactorial chronic disease, therapeutical approach must combine diet, physical exercise and behavioural changes. Social support is necessary to prevent it from increasing. Maria Dolores has an obese 5 year old child. She is aware of the problems and consequences for her child’s health brought by obesity. She tries to promote healthy habits for him, but lack of cooperation from her husband, mother and part of the current society make it hard for her.
