An integrated supply chain model for the perishable items with fuzzy production rate and fuzzy demand rate

【 摘 要 】

In the changing market scenario, supply chain management is gettingphenomenal importance amongst researchers. Studies on supply chain managementhave emphasized the importance of a long-term strategic relationship betweenthe manufacturer, distributor and retailer. In the present paper, a model hasbeen developed by assuming that the demand rate and production rate astriangular fuzzy numbers and items deteriorate at a constant rate. Theexpressions for the average inventory cost are obtained both in crisp andfuzzy sense. The fuzzy model is defuzzified using the fuzzy extensionprinciple, and its optimization with respect to the decision variable is alsocarried out. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the model andsensitivity analysis is performed to study the effect of parameters.
