【 摘 要 】
During the formation of the knowledge-based economy the competition acquires special features under the influence of spread of innovation in all aspects of society. Competitiveness of countries is essentially determined by the technological level of sectors and industries. The ability of the society to produce and innovate is directly related to the capital accumulation and the proportions of the reproductive structure of GDP.The aim of the article is to determine the specific character of the interdependence and contradictoriness of processes of forming the macroeconomic competitiveness, predefined by the state and dynamics of the reproductive structure of GDP.The origins of competitiveness are established. The methodology of analysis is based on a combination of fundamental scientific principles of political economy concerning reproductive structure of GDP, the foundations of macroeconomics regarding the dynamics of GDP, consumption and accumulation process, the achievements of applied economics on the development of national and world economy.Current trends in reproductive structure of GDP of leading countries, countries with economies in transition and developing countries are investigated. The necessity of ensuring an optimal balance between capital consumption and accumulation in the reproductive structure of GDP as the prerequisites of forming the country's competitiveness through innovation is substantiated.
