【 摘 要 】

[english] We report how the Medical Branch Library of University Library of Regensburg achieved to optimize its textbook holdings by using automatically harvested detailed usage statistics with an easy-to-use web-based interface. Subsequently, this system was successfully adopted by other branch libraries. Accompanying this paper the software is made available under an open source license. This is the first system known to us that extracts time series of usage status data from an integrated library system and makes these data available for effortless access in a comprehensive manner.
