【 摘 要 】

According to the chronicles of Giacomo Ricci (1468-69) and Teramano (1470-1473), in 1291 the shrine of the Holy House of the Virgin is moved from Nazareth to Tersatto in Dalmatia (near Fiume), and from there transferred December 10th 1294, again by angelic hands, in a grove of laurels near Loreto. With the favor of popes, bishops and religious orders, the sanctuary becomes already at the end of the XV century destination of the European pilgrimage. Between the two shores of the Adriatic, the cult knows ample diffusion landing early in Puglia, where numerous testimonies, not only architectural and figurative but also documentary and archaeological, documenting the good fortune that the cult had in the whole region from the XV to the XVIII century. Particularly, the study of chapels dedicated to Loreto Virgin in Apulia has allowed us to highlight their close ties with both regional pilgrimage routes and tracks of transhumance.
