【 摘 要 】

We seek to expand in this work certain ideas and concepts of popular culture in an attempt of a better understing of the context in which the catira falls, that is, as popular culture from the rural areas. At the same time aim to present aspects of catira in the city of Uberaba in the mid-twentieth century.
