【 摘 要 】

The Historical Epistemology of Bachelard (1977) contributed significantly to the way of thinking about science and knowledge production. The historical perspective is a research method which is also based on the assertion that history is central to a better understanding and reflection of humanity through the understanding of its events and structures (BURKE, 1992). In this way, we seek in this paper to thoroughly analyze how the adoption of a historical perspective can contribute for future research in Organizational Studies in Brazil. In the end of the theoretical reflection, we conclude that, although still not widely used, historical research has great potential in this field in the country.
