【 摘 要 】

The article discusses the potential of the urban environment as a public space in terms of the development of water areas. The use of water improvement facilities is described, which can significantly expand the functional potential of urban water areas. The classification of landscaping objects by such criteria as functional filling, size and type of attachment of floating objects is described. Functional content is considered in the context of changing seasons from summer to winter. The article draws conclusions about the relevance of the use of water objects of improvement, on the example of the water area of Kronstadt, and on the territory of cultural heritage in general.
