【 摘 要 】

In field investigations located on the fringes of society, the task of conceptualizing is often problematic. The grasping of reality rarely proceeds in a straight line and is often revealed through « shifts », by swaying between « neither this, nor that », through analogies and even errors or accidents, among which there is sometimes a loss of accuracy regarding methodological and theoretical frameworks. While they are often bypassed or thrown into the « dustbin of science » under the pretext of being non-representative faults in the production process of « real » data and certainties, these shifts can nevertheless be important vectors of discovery. With examples from field investigations, we will address two « figures of shifts »: sensitivity and irony, that belong to the same logic of discovery by serendipity.
