【 摘 要 】
The human race must reappraise its value system. The materialism that has guided our lifestyle has landed us in very severe and several problems. Buddhism teaches that mind is the forerunner of all things, mind is supreme. If we act with an impure mind, i.e. a mind sullied with greed, hatred and delusion, suffering is the inevitable result. We have to understand that pollution in the environment has been caused because there has been psychological pollution within ourselves. If we want a clean environment, we have to adopt a lifestyle that springs from a moral and spiritual dimension.Hence in Buddhism it is said that the basis of true spirituality is built from qualities such as love, compassion, respect for others, a commitment to honesty, and so forth. Each one of us should attempt to bring our wisdom to bear on the current situation in the world and dedicate ourselves to those paths that enhance life, harmony and peace on earth, paths that will lead us to higher being, liberation and enlightenment. In this paper, an attempt is made to study on “Cleanliness and Holistic Heath in Buddhism.”
