【 摘 要 】

This article analyses the annual accounts of the Navy for the year 1471, presented by the Duke of Medina Sidonia to the Council of Seville. These records refl ect the political confrontations in the region at the time and offer invaluable information about the economic and naval affairs of western Andalusia.
