【 摘 要 】
The present study brings into discussion the artistic personality of soprano singer Anastasia Dicescu, one of the prominent figures of the national musical culture of the interwar period. The interpretative considerations of the author are based on the study of documents of the period, which have a referential value, and on the memories and discussions with the descendants of Dicescu family. Descending from an ancient race of boyars of Moldavia, A. Dicescu received preeminent education at specialized institutions with traditions from abroad – Odessa Conservatoire and the Academy of Music in Rome. The high professional training allows her to launch early in a successful artistic career, debuting on the stage of the Lyric Theatre from Odessa. She dedicates herself to artistic beauty in its various aspects, manifesting and asserting herself on multiple levels: managerial, pedagogical and interpretive in Chisinau, Cluj, and Bucharest. Anastasia Dicescu lived the last years of her life alone and often in despair, being killed by a ruthless disease. The Soprano’s performing art coupled with the outstanding stage performance, but also the activity for the advancement of Romanian music, have consecrated her in the history of national culture.
