The natural environment in the sustainable development of towns: the example of Poznań

【 摘 要 】

In the eighties the environmental elements air, water and soils were examined in correlationwith the situation of economic development. In the nineties green areas, which are particularlyimportant for Poznan, were planned within the framework of the General urban planningof the town. In the article, natural factors are represented as restrictive developmentfactors. In the questionnaire, over 83 % of the inhabitants of Poznan pointed out green areasto be the most important factor with regard to further house building.
