【 摘 要 】

Se reportó el caso de un pólipo fibroide inflamatorio encontrado en el íleon de una mujer de 86 años de edad que fue operada de urgencia, en el Hospital Clinicoquirúrgico "Joaquín Albarrán" de Ciudad de La Habana, con el diagnóstico preoperatorio de oclusión intestinal por bridas. Se halló, mediante laparotomía exploradora, un tumor invaginado en el íleon a 20 cm de la válvula ileocecal. Se informó un diagnóstico anatomopatológico de pólipo fibroide inflamatorio. Se buscó documentación sobre los aspectos clínicos y patológicos de este caso.
This paper presents a case report of an inflammatory fibroid polyp found in the ileum of a 86-years-old female who was operated on under emergency conditions in "Joaquín Albarrán" Clinical and Surgical Hospital, City of Havana. The pre-operatory diagnosis had been intestinal occlusion caused by adhesion. The scanning laparotomy allowed finding an invaginated tumor in the ileum, 20 cm far from the ileocecal valve. The reported anatomopathological diagnosis was inflammatory fibroid polyp. Information was searched on the clinical and pathological aspects of this case.
