【 摘 要 】

This article analyses how Cervantes moves away from historical fact to show that there is not an unequivocal reading of the world, but many interpretations. This shift enables Cervantes to explore the notion of verisimilitude and truth anew. In the struggle against the baroque evanescence of the world, only fictional writing can offer a form of conclusive language that is realized through comedia. Comedia creates its own poetic event(s), which is/are at once extraordinary and unique; it shapes its own exemplarity, which rests upon poetic representation.
