【 摘 要 】

This paper proposes an approach of participation that interprets it as a matter or a problem of « hospitality » inspired by the works of Joan Stavo-Debauge. According to the author, the social sciences of citizenship and democracy would benefit from taking on the postulate that participatory democracy can only be achieved through processes and tests of « reception », which involve simultaneously the receptivity of the social or political ensemble that hosts the interaction, and the receivability of those coming to take part. The authors opens a twofold field of inquiry: the first one consists in the outlining of an eco-semiotic theory of « reception environments » ; the second one invites to rethink the sociology of involvements through a phenomenology of arrivals.
