DETERMINATION OF HOPELESS LEVELS OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ACCORDING TO THE GENDER AND ECONOMIC INCOME LEVEL

While individuals' hope or hopelessness status is personal, it is important to note that many factors are effective on this issue. As a matter of fact, the social environment of the people, their environment, educational status, income status, etc. many factors can be listed among the factors influencing the hope of the future. Though the opinions of individuals about the future are seen as abstract structures, they are very effective on the life of the individual within the current time period and the future periods. As a matter of fact, looking at the future with the hope of individuals, to make plans for this period, to set goals and efforts to reach them, which leads to the motivation factor shows that the increase with hope. However, it is also stated that people who have hope for the future have more pleasure in the time period they are in and hug more closely to life. In contrast, individuals who are despaired in the future plan, program, target and so on. as well as the level of motivation at this point. This also negatively affects the structure of individuals and their social relations. Essentially, hopelessness and hopelessness are concepts that have a decisive influence on the future of society as well as individuals. In this study, 1419 university sample was used to examine the hopes - hopelessness levels, future perspectives and individual perceptions of university students based on gender differences. The evaluation of these issues on the gender of men and women and the individual differences on the status of hope and their effects on hopelessness were also examined. As a result of the study, it was found that men and women have similar hope status in terms of gender factor, but it is concluded that women's levels of hope are higher than men in certain subjects.
