【 摘 要 】

Our terrestrial world is filled with new and undetected strata and territories; regions which even cannot represent themselves as some kind of a wonderland beyond our daily life. Only the ones who find and desire these territories can enter and thus experience their novelty. A traveling like this, from one space to another makes a nomad out of a person who never thinks about settling down in one stable place. These cinematic images of life can create chaos leading to a body of possibilities; the possibility of a man to turn into a woman or an animal or anything different. Entering and exiting different territories validates a line of flight from the stability of determined identities. Thomas Pynchon narrates a resembling condition in his short stories. In each story the line of escape becomes the real challenge as well as the center of narration. A line of flight requires another territory, and within these stories we will go beyond any border in order to find new terrains. Furthermore, the way chaos is shaped through this territory amalgamation will be discussed.
