Los fondos y las colecciones de archivo en las bibliotecas : modelos para su control y acceso

【 摘 要 】

En primer lugar, se explica el contexto en el que se han formado las unidades de colecciones especiales de algunas bibliotecas y las razones por las cuales acogen fondos y colecciones de archivo. En segundo lugar, el trabajo se centra en las técnicas utilizadas en el entorno bibliotecario para describir los fondos de archivo y las colecciones que tienen un tratamiento archivístico, y en como se les proporciona acceso. En este contexto, se examinan los modelos usados en los Estados Unidos y en el Reino Unido para describir y dar acceso a estos materiales, y los proyectos cooperativos puestos en marcha en estos dos países en los últimos años. Finalmente, se hace un primer análisis de cómo se tratan actualmente este tipo de fondos en las bibliotecas catalanas y se apuntan algunas recomendaciones para mejorar el tratamiento de que son objeto y su acceso.First, we examine the context of creation of special collection units in libraries, and the reasons why libraries compile archive materials and collections. Second, we focus on the techniques used in library environments to describe archive materials and collections and to guarantee their accessibility. We examine the models used in the United States and the United Kingdom to describe and access these materials, and the cooperative projects launched in these two countries in the past few years. Finally, we offer a preliminary analysis of how these types of materials are currently dealt with in Catalan libraries, and issue some recommendations to improve their archiving and access.
