【 摘 要 】

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar algunos aspectos del proceso de restauración de Pelourinho, ocurrido entre 1992-1993. En especial, procura mostrar que una intervención efectuada por el gobierno de Bahia priorizó el conjunto arquitectónico, en detrimento de lo social. Los habitantes de aquel espacio fueron excluidos en cuanto a participantes del proceso y considerados inconvenientes para permanecer allí. El cuestionamiento de los antiguos poblados del modo de cómo ocurrió la restauración, es parte intrínseca de esta historia.

ABSTRACT:

The objective of this article is to analyze some aspects of the Pelourinho restoration process, happened among 1992-1993. Especially, it tries to show that the intervention made by the government from Bahia, prioritized the architectural group, in detriment of the social. The inhabitants of that space were excluded while participants of the process, and considered inconveniences for to stay in the place. The old inhabitants' complaints to the way as it happened the restoration, is intrinsic part of that history.
