【 摘 要 】

This paper proposes a brief overview of ergonomics in Québec as well as reflection on its challenges. We trace the key steps in its evolution through the facts and events that marked its development over the last 30 years : its pioneers, origins, unplanned encounters, the establishment of ergonomics and the role of institutions, consolidation, the exhilaration of the ‘90s, and the current situation. This history is situated in its socio-political context in the light of developments in occupational health and the evolution of institutions that occurred between 1970 and 2000. The last part proposes avenues of reflection on the main challenges that ergonomics has to meet in order to continue to be part of the current changes : its position in decision processes, dealing with times issues, the renewal and articulation of its knowledge, and its organization.
