【 摘 要 】

This work tries to uncover if, regarding that Portugal was a colonial power, the Portuguese journalistic elites feared, within the 1930-1933 period, that the Nazi Germany could represent a threat to the Portuguese colonial Empire in the future. This article includes results from the investigation that was presented in the Masters dissertation under the title: «A caminho do Estado Novo e do Terceiro Reich: a “Lição de Hitler” e a “Lição de Salazar” na imprensa portuguesa (1930-1933)».
