【 摘 要 】
Airtransport,likeeveryeconomicbranch,strivesfordevelopment.Air traffic is growing dynamically, which means that the natural environment is increasingly being pollutedeachyear.Therefore,entitiesoperatingintheairtransportsector should carefortheenvironment.Oneoftheseentities -airports -introducesmanyrestrictions for aircraft with high CO2(carbon dioxide) emissions. At the same time, they introduce many ecological activities. Every year, also at the largest Polish airports, managers carry outactivitiesaimedatcaringfortheenvironment.Themaingoalofthearticleisto evaluatetheimplementationofongoingprojectsrelatedtoenvironmentalprotectionat selectedPolishairports.Forthispurpose,asurveywasconductedatPolishairportsin March 2020. The main research thesis is that as a result of the development of air traffic, airportswillstartinvestingmoreininnovativesolutionsrelatedtoenvironmental protection,includingsolarpanels.Thisissueisextremelyimportantfromthepointof view of economic, environmental,and corporate social responsibility. The main problems oftheenvironmentalpolicyareareasrelatedtowaste,water,andenergymanagement. Someairportstakeupchallengesrelatedtotheimplementationofinnovativesolutions, including sustainable energy management. Tasks related to reducing energy consumption and increasing the use of green energy at airports will beof key importance.
