【 摘 要 】
This article analyzes the presence of the media (printed press, radio and cinema) comprehensively on the bestselling novel The Time in Between, written by María Dueñas, and later adapted as a successful TV drama series. The research shows that the references of the mass media in the story are one of the keys that explain the success of this cultural product. The permanent references to the mass media are used to generate credibility and realism by Dueñas. Using an ‘ad hoc’ methodology and after analysis of primary and secondary sources, this paper dissects the presence of the printed press, radio and cinema in the story. Finally, the newspapers and magazines found are classified by geographical origin, type or area of specialization. Therefore, this paper identifies and explains the reasons of the international success of this product of the Spanish cultural industry in a former time of crisis.
