【 摘 要 】

El artículo propone una primera reconstrucción sistemática de lo que puede suponer el ajuar de viaje en la España moderna a partir de fuentes de archivo,literarias, iconográficas y de la bibliografía existente sobre la materia, dispersa en distintas áreas especializadas como la historia del mueble o las artes decorativas. A la vez, se elabora un glosario histórico de la terminología específica de esta parcela de la cultura material, expresión no solo del concepto que se tiene del viaje sino también del espacio doméstico, del que es réplica y extensión. Particular atención merecen los objetos náuticos que acompañan el viaje marítimo.This article presents the first attempt a holistic reconstruction of what comprised a traveller’s luggage in Spainin Spain during the Modern Era based on archival sources and literary, iconographic evidence as well as the existing bibliography that is scattered through different specialized fields, such as furniture studies or decorative arts. At the same time, it offers an historical glossary of the correspondendingterminology proper to this area of material culture that reflects not only the accepted concept of travelling but also of the domestic space than can be considered to replicate it and of wich it was an extension. Particular attention is given to the nautic objects which accompany sea travel.
