【 摘 要 】
Aim: The number of chronic carriers is estimated to be more than 400 million in worldwide. Perinatal infection is the predominant mode of transmission in high-prevalence areas, whereas horizontal transmission, particularly in early childhood, accounts for most cases of chronic HBV infection in intermediate-prevalence areas. Transmission to infant from HBV-infected mothers may be perinatal or postpartum.Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, pregnant who applied to Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Adıyaman 82’nd Years State Hospital between January 2007- December 2007 were evaluated in order to find prevalences of hepatitis B, hepatitis C and anti-HBs.Results: Seropositivity rates of HBsAg, anti-HBs and anti-HCV were found 4.7%, 32.8% and 1.1%, respectively.Conclusion: Knowing the frequency of chronic HBV infection in pregnant women is important in order to protect the infant from risk of HBV infection.
