Effects of electron donor on biological nitrogen removal efficiency and microbial community distribution of anaerobic biological system

【 摘 要 】

Glucose (Glu),methanol (MeOH) and potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP) were in dividually used as electron donor for anaerobic denitrification of NO3--N and C/N ratio was respectively set as 4∶1 and 10∶1 electron donor for each.The experimental results show that Glu and MeOH have similar total nitrogen (TN) removal rates had which are higher than that of KHP under C/N ratias of both 4∶1 and 10∶1.The TN removal rates with Glu and MeOH as electron donors are higher by 71% than that with KHP at C/N of 4∶1,but the difference decreases to 7% at C/N of 10∶1.For the different electron donors,microbiological communities gave obvious characteristics in their in activated sludge systems,in which the electron donors corresponded to their in dividual advantage anaerobic,nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria,and reflected system difference.
