【 摘 要 】

Se realizó una investigación de carácter evaluativo para valorar la influencia de una intervención básica educativa en el desarrollo de los conocimientos y habilidades del paciente diabético ante su autocuidado y control, con el objetivo de apreciar su efecto en 3 consultorios del área del Policlínico "Mario Muñoz Monroy", ubicado en el municipio Boyeros. Se observó que hubo una mejoría en los conocimientos y habilidades de los pacientes diabéticos, ya que después de haber recibido el Curso de Información Básica, el número de las respuestas correctas se incrementó en el 13,5 %, por totales. Se conoció también que las respuestas correctas son más frecuentes entre los pacientes de 56 y más años. Los mayores porcentajes de respuestas correctas correspondieron al grupo de preguntas referentes al conocimiento de la enfermedad, a la sintomatología y a la dieta, y entre los pacientes del sexo masculino.
An evaluative research was made to assess the influence of a basic educative intervention on the development of knowledge and abilities of the diabetic patient concerning his selfcare and control in order to observe its effect in 3 family physicians' offices of the area of "Mario Muñoz Monroy" Polyclinic, in Boyeros municipality. An improvement of the knowledge and abilities of the diabetic patients was observed, since after having taken the Basic Information Course the number of right answers increased 13.5 % by totals. It was also known that the correct answers are more frequent among patients aged 56 and over. The highest percentages of right answers were found among men and corresponded to the group of questions about the knowledge of the disease, the symptomalogy and the diet.
