【 摘 要 】

With the enactment of the open access policy in February 2013, the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen has committed itself to making the scientific results collected at the faculties as freely accessible as possible and thus maximising the benefits for science, industry and society. In order to support this claim, the University Library of Tübingen offers assistance in all aspects of publishing. Do scientists in Tübingen accept this support, in particular authors from the Department of Medicine? What is the publishing behaviour of the scientific community and what factors influence it? The following section shows the gold open access publishing behaviour of Tübingen physicians based on data selected fromGold and offers an insight into the publishing culture in Tübingen over the last five years.
