【 摘 要 】

Nowadays practical dentistry characterized with a deficiency of unified system aimed at assessing the relationship between achieved clinical and aesthetic results of gingival recession treatment and the level of obtained treatment results perception directly by the dental patients. The aim of the study considered evaluation of the relationship between achieved parameters of pink and white aesthetics and the level of patients’ subjective perception regarding obtained gingival recession treatment results while using different surgical approaches. The analysis of 56 patients of the private dental clinic “Dentistry 3D Plus” (Cherkasy), who had previously undergone recession treatment with different surgical techniques was provided to achieve the objective of the study. The aesthetic results of the soft tissue root covering restoration was evaluated by using the ratio of the classical criteria for white and pink esthetics, named WES (white esthetic score) and PES (pink esthetic score) respectively. Mean levels of PES and WES scores at the time of clinical control which was provided 6-14 months after recession treatment reached 6,59±1,74 and 7,39±1,05 points respectively after using coronally-advanced flap technique, 7,22±1,26 and 7,58±1,45 points after using coronally-advanced flap technique with additional connective tissue graft, 6,24±1,89 and 7,25±1,47 points respectively after using laterally-advanced flap technique, and 6,83±1,54 and 7,35±1,38 points respectively after using coronally-advanced flap technique with additional xenodermal graft. At the same time, patients subjectively evaluated the obtained results of gingival recession treatment based on the appearance of teeth and surrounding soft tissues and according to the VAS scale for 7,54±2,14, 7,83±1,95, 7,48±2,03, and 7,50±1,89 points respectively after being undergone four above mentioned surgical approaches. Subjective evaluation parameters regarding obtained class I and II gingival recession treatment results according to the VAS scale exceed the similar values of objective assessment according to PES and WES criteria, with higher correlations between VAS and WES criteria (r = 0,64, р=0,031) than between VAS and PES criteria (r = 0,42, р=0,048).
