【 摘 要 】

This paper offers an outline of the uses and practices of social science and the humanities within companies, focusing more specifically on researchers in this field who are employed by companies. Although there exist a number of research units within companies, their activities and importance contrast. The author raises the question of the involvement of researchers in the major issues in business and workplace relations. As they go through huge structural transformations, companies and management increasingly take advantage of the knowledge and added value provided by social science and the humanities, albeit more discreetly (research being nowadays regarded as a competitive edge) and with a view to using that tool for communication or marketing purposes (as with storytelling for instance). She concludes that creating a public space for discussion within companies is an interesting stake, so that research, creation, distribution, production and innovation can get cross-breading while taking in account the interests of human beings.
