【 摘 要 】

This paper recounts a case of successful entrepreneurship in the transport sector in Colombia. In fact, it tells the story of Luis Gabriel Pinto, a person who takes the initiative to develop their own business project in the provision of logistic services of transportation of oil and its derivatives. This company gives to him and his family an opportunity for economic independence to generate income and create their own company in order to better their quality of life.The paper makes a parallel between the history of the family business and the economic outlook in the transport sector. First of all, the story begins with Luis Gabriel Pinto first approaches in the field of transport, then with his vision and organization of their own business and finally, with the expansion and evolution of his business. On the other hand, the story completes this paper by showing an economic context and its evolution presenting macroeconomic aspects in the transport sector, economic growth stakeholders and institutionalization in transport.
