【 摘 要 】

The article presents a fragment of the research devoted to the study of the peculiarities of usual word stress in Birobidzhan. The work aims to identify the main trends in the evolution of usual orthoepic standards in the region by experimental methods. The article describes the results of using two experimental methods: surveys, and generating experiment. The survey was attended by 200 Russian speakers – residents of Birobidzhan town. Experimental list included 200 noun and verbal tokens with accent variability. The experiment allowed us to describe the areas of high (26 %), moderate (53 %) and low variability (21 %). For the generating experiment texts were composed, and they included the 15 most variable tokens according to the survey. The experiment involved 100 informants. The results of the first and the second experiments were compared in order to identify the degree of stability of accent reactions. It has been established that low frequency tokens and units of complex structure display the greatest instability.
