【 摘 要 】

240 cases of obstructive jaundice treated in the surgical department of City Clinical Hospital No. 50 of the Moscow Department of Health between 2009 and 2012 were analyzed. In 157 cases minimally invasive treatment methods were used at the first stage of therapy. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography was found to be the most feasible method. The type of intervention was not possible in a significant number of cases (43 patients), for which external percutaneous biliary drainage was performed and proved to be successful in a majority of cases. Jaundice disappeared within 7 days depending on the basic level of bilirubinemia and the nature of the pathology.
