【 摘 要 】

This article consists of a brief overview of 40 years of scholarly production by feminist, francophone sociologists. Even though many papers in sociology consider gender as a socio-demographic variable of a sub-population, its French definition inherits the materialist theorization of social relations proposed in the 70’s and 80’s. In the title of the article, the term « Feminists » is purposely used because it continues to ignite the power to render reality unacceptable, at any moment, here and elsewhere, for any and all generations still immersed in « male domination ».
